The Ferri family purchased the restaurant in 1967 after the owner, Daniel Ferri, returned. The restaurant opened in 1955 as Beatty’s Restaurant and was renamed The Lamplighter in 1962. Previous Executive Chef, William (Elliott) Rodwell, who has been with the Lamplighter for over 26 years, now has a part-time role in the kitchen alongside Michael, and the two make a great team! For nearly a century, the Ferri Family has enjoyed serving the finest food to our customers, beginning with Ferri Brothers Groceries of Turtle Creek in 1920. He believes in using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients whenever possible and giving customers the “this is the best I’ve ever had!” experience.
